BIG-TEX PRO HAY PRESERVATIVE & INOCULANT
MOISTURE IS A BIG OBSTACLE FOR HAY PRODUCERS
WHAT HAPPENS IF I WAIT TOO LONG TO BALE HAY?
Waiting too long to bale hay can result in a loss of feed value.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I BALE HAY TOO SOON?
Baling hay too soon can cause heat and mold to occur which can result in poor quality hay.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO MAKE THE BEST HAY?
For higher quality hay, sometimes the most efficient solution is adding a preservative and applicator system.
Obviously every company wants their system to be the one you purchase so we recommend asking all the questions and figuring out all of the dollar and cents it will cost/save you at the end of the day. Even if you do not purchase a Protexia hay preservative/inoculant applicator or additive we are here to help you understand and consider your options.
We trust that our applicator system and preservatives are the most efficient and helpful tool to produce high quality bales with relative ease.

BIG-TEX PRO LIQUID HAY PRESERVATIVE APPLICATION:
Uniform distribution is very important. The hay should be raked into medium-sized, fluffy windrows. A multi-nozzle boom should be attached to the baler pick-up in a manner that the hay is sprayed while still fluffy so that the spray can penetrate the windrow. Fan-type nozzles should be used with a pressure range of 15-35 PSI. Flood-type nozzles are not satisfactory.
